Christian Author News - Multi-published author Wayne Wilson

Multi-published author Wayne Wilson takes a look at Job fifteen years after his sufferings in his new book Suffer the Slings and Arrows: A Dialogue of Job. Relying heavily upon scripture, the author creates a fiction tale of the character Job and his friends. Building from the foundation that "time heals all wounds" the author poignantly gives a historical background, spanning the landscape of history, to tell the meaning of Jobs sufferings, answering the questions as to why there is suffering in this fallen world, giving hope and pointing others to the sacrificial offering of the Cross.

Wayne Wilson's writings attempt to depict life in a fallen world where God is more interested in our character than our comfort. It is an attempt to make the Good News of the Incarnation relevant to the Westerner who wallows in comfort as well as the suffering billions in the so-called third world. The relevance comes in the fact that this is a fallen world with more inherent lows than highs, yet the Incarnation, i.e the fact that God visited earth in bodily form to live and die on our behalf, gives meaning to these lows and the highs of life. And it is this meaning that infuses life with joy and purpose. Furthermore, it is the author's belief that a sacramental approach to life and worship is the best way to implement this understanding.

"You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you." Confessions by St. Augustine.
